I'm a Virginia (USA)-based freelance writer. I cover business and technology as well as travel, culture and arts. My travels have taken me to more than 40 countries on six continents. Of course, there are a lot of places I look back on fondly. To name but a few, I really liked Turkey and the northern reaches of Scandinavia. Really, except for the prices, all of Scandinavia is quite nice. At least in the summer.
I've floated weightless, run with the bulls in Pamplona, helped renovate Toulouse-Lautrec's boyhood home in France and swum with sea lions in the Galapagos Islands. I've also put on a funny hat for Carnival in Venice, spent a really cold evening in a very thin sleeping bag atop Costa Rica's Mt. Chirripo and almost met my demise at the hands of an octogenarian woman wielding a scythe in Slovenia. But that, as they say, is a story for another time.
My articles on topics from business strategy to the "gap year" to space tourism have appeared in such publications as Inc., Executive Traveler, Robb Report Worth, Millionaire, Men's Journal, Budget Travel and The Washington Post. You can check out some of my clips here.
